Death doula education is appropriate for nearly every setting I can imagine, but I’m biased. I have presented this material to oncology social workers at HUP, as well as medical and nursing students.

A Grief 101 for folks in relevant and complementary professions. There are many myths that we can help break down in ourselves and our clients to better support the grief process.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought this challenge to the fore for many volunteer leaders, including how to approach and process grief and loss around the death of a volunteer or ambiguous losses related to changes necessitated by safety protocols. This co-facilitated workshop merged the professional perspectives of volunteer engagement leadership, death doulas, and social work to present empathic and evidence-based approaches to grief and loss for volunteer leaders.
